Agenda 1 was all about the Treasury Report, which was provided by the current Treasurer Mr. Sonam Tshering Sherpa. The Treasury Report provided the detailed figures and numbers for the fiscal year 2073/74 (2016/2017) to the Board and general members.
Due to the busy schedule of the members with their involvement in other activities, EON was unable to undergo its meeting and actions in time for proper decision-making. After a long discussion, the Board along with its members, came to the conclusion that EON as an organization is growing with many responsibilities and it is now time for the organization to hire an ‘Administrator’ to carry out the various administration activities. Therefore, the Board took the decision to soon hire a capable candidate for the post of Administrator, who will carry out all the managerial activities on a daily basis. Additionally, the Board also decided to enrol a lesser number of children this year in comparison to previous years, taking into consideration the benefits of the current children in the EON umbrella.
From the previous discussions, all members of the organization have been notified that EON has been providing scholarship to 34 students in year 2073/74 (2016/2017). With its successful tenure in 2073/74 in contributing its small effort in the education for the orphans in Nepal, this year too EON has added 5 more children in its umbrella with the hostel facility. In addition, EON will provide 4 more scholarships during the year of 2073/74 (2017/2018), making a total of 43 children that stand under the umbrella of EON to date.
With all the information and feedbacks and future planning taken into consideration the meeting was adjourned until the next notice.
