The general meeting of Education for Orphans children of Nepal was duly called and held on 6/17/2019 at Chuchepati in presence of Mr. Ang Kami Sherpa – President to discuss about various issues related to education for the orphan children in coming tenure and various other organizational issues. The meeting was conducted in presence of members listed below who provided their valuable feedback to make the meeting a successful one.

AGENDA 1:
With long open floor discussion on Agenda 1 and making questions and answer session the meeting came up with a decision. This year EON will be taking 12 students more under its umbrella. Among the 12 students one of the eligible student will be provided with full educational scholarship with the approval from the board members.
AGENDA 2:
Member attendance is very much valuable during all the meetings as it brings more ideas and suggestions .Taking this into consideration and approval from the present members , the annual general meeting is scheduled on 17th August 2019.
AGENDA 3:
After lot of research and discussion, the meeting have selected “Syprus Public High School “located in Sukedhara, Kathmandu for all the 12 students. All the 12 students will be provided with the educational scholarship from EON along with additional transportation facility.
AGENDA 4:
EON have been providing scholarship for many orphans till date. This year one of our student – Riya Manandhar appeared for SEE (Secondary Education Examination) exam which is considered as the crucial Iron Gate exam for higher education. After this phase she will be ready to join college degree education. So board along with the member have decided to think what EON can do in coming future for her educational betterment. Alongside the meeting also decided to change the current address of the organization to Lazimpat, Kathmandu.
With this the meeting ended with a small tea session.

Agenda 1:
In tenure 2075 EON (Education for Orphans of Nepal), have decided to serve 44 children in their educational journey. Among these 44 students, 13 students are fully financed while other 31 children have been provided with financial support for their education except the hostel facilities. And the organization has also been undergoing several social work programs in various sectors like building health post, drinking water project in Kaule Bazar-4, Bungkot and building an office for EPSA training center. Beside this EON has also managed to organize a picnic for the kids who are under EON umbrella where these children were able to interact with each other. In this day EON also distributed the kids with the school bags and necessary clothings as per the rituals of the organization every year. To make every statement even clear our chairman also showed the images of various programs conducted under the EON umbrella through PowerPoint presentation.
Agenda 2:
Here the treasurer report for tenure 2075/76 was provided by the treasurer that comprised of all the details of the financial transactions that included the expenses and the contribution that were provided by the donor to the organizations.
Agenda 3:
EON has always been trying to serve as many children as possible and making their lives fruitful by providing them with their utmost need that is education. With this goal in mind in coming years too EON has plans for serving children as per the need.
Agenda 4:
Agenda 4 being one of the crucial parts, playing a major role for coming tenure took a very long discussion and suggestions. For the new board member formation, the agenda was thrown on the floor for the interested candidate to take up the future responsibilities. Since there was no one who stepped forward to take up the candidacy, it has been decided that the current board members will again continue in coming tenure 2076/77. Thus, the upcoming board members will remain in the same position and carry out their duties. The board has also decided to take in new members in coming tenure. With board approval Miss. Tsering Doma Sherpa, Miss Choti Sherpa (Ex- EON sponsored child) will be joining EON and Mr. Pasang Nuru Sher as a new member from tenure 2075 with new enthusiasm and dedication. Board Members are also very happy to welcome new members and hope for a change for betterment
Agenda 5:
The last agenda of the meeting was regarding the auditing procedures. In coming tenure 2075/76, the meeting decided to hire Registered Auditing Firm- D.B Khatri and Company to complete all the auditing procedures and submit the report.
Closing Remarks:
The president stated that he was very pleased that the members attended the meeting despite their busy schedule and their contribution for the organization.

Agenda 1.
Agenda 1 was all about the Treasury Report, which was provided by the current Treasurer Mr. Sonam Tshering Sherpa. The Treasury Report provided the detailed figures and numbers for the fiscal year 2073/74 (2016/2017) to the Board and general members.
Agenda 2.
Due to the busy schedule of the members with their involvement in other activities, EON was unable to undergo its meeting and actions in time for proper decision-making. After a long discussion, the Board along with its members, came to the conclusion that EON as an organization is growing with many responsibilities and it is now time for the organization to hire an ‘Administrator’ to carry out the various administration activities. Therefore, the Board took the decision to soon hire a capable candidate for the post of Administrator, who will carry out all the managerial activities on a daily basis. Additionally, the Board also decided to enrol a lesser number of children this year in comparison to previous years, taking into consideration the benefits of the current children in the EON umbrella.
Agenda 3.
From the previous discussions, all members of the organization have been notified that EON has been providing scholarship to 34 students in year 2073/74 (2016/2017). With its successful tenure in 2073/74 in contributing its small effort in the education for the orphans in Nepal, this year too EON has added 5 more children in its umbrella with the hostel facility. In addition, EON will provide 4 more scholarships during the year of 2073/74 (2017/2018), making a total of 43 children that stand under the umbrella of EON to date.
With all the information and feedbacks and future planning taken into consideration the meeting was adjourned until the next notice.
